Amidosulfonic acid [ Sulfamic acid ] 10% - Nitrite killer

 

 In environmental H2O samples that contain both nit rate (NO3-) and nitrite (NO2-), isotopic analysis of nitrate alone by all currently available methods requires pretreatment to remove nit'rite.  Sul'famic acid 10% [approx pH 1.7] reduces nit'rite to N2. Samples are then neutralized with base prior to isotope analysis. Under appropriate reaction conditions, nit'rite is completely removed within minutes. Testing and use methods are to be determined by the end user and no specific guarantee is made by ECP Ltd or it's agents.
