Mix 23g of Nutrient Agar with 100ml of H2O into a paste. Slowly add more H2O with stirring until the volume is 1000ml. Heat the mixture on a boiling H2O bath to 95 °C in the required container. About 20-25ml for normal depth in a 100mm Petri dish. - makes 40 plates
